Narrative/Justification for Judgment of Compliance:

Florida Gateway College (FGC) has qualified administrative and academic officers with the experience and competence to lead the institution.

FGC’s administrative and academic officers meet or exceed the minimum requirements necessary to carry out the responsibilities of their position as indicated on their job description. The positions of director and above are considered administrative and academic officers and are included on the college’s organizational chart [1]

FGC DBOT Policy 6Hx12:6-20 [2], Recruitment and Selection of College Employees, states that the Board will always endeavor to select qualified applicants for designated positions. The selection shall be based on qualifications, skills, training, and other job relevant criteria. All applications are processed through the Human Resources Office.

FGC DBOT Policy 6Hx12:6-13 [3] Performance Evaluation of Personnel, outlines the performance evaluation procedure for all personnel. Performance evaluations are conducted on college personnel using established college procedures. Performance evaluation is defined as the appraisal of an employee's performance against the performance requirements for the employee's position. The primary purpose of such evaluation is to assist personnel in professional development and in achieving stated college goals and objectives.

Employee annual performance evaluations [4] are maintained in the Human Resources office personnel files. Personnel files also contain all qualifying documentation including the employment application, resume, and official transcripts. The President is evaluated [5] annually by the FGC District Board of Trustees (DBOT) [6].

Administrators and their educational credentials are provided in the following roster of academic and administrative officers. Position descriptions of all employees are located on the college intranet.
